The EPPD is proud to announce that the department’s newest sergeant is Erik Geronsin. Sgt. Geronsin has been an officer with the EPPD since 2013 and currently serves as a patrol officer.

Sgt. Geronsin grew up in Coon Rapids and graduated from Totino-Grace High School. He attended Minnesota State University-Mankato and worked as an officer in Glencoe, Minnesota for two years before being hired as an officer in Eden Prairie. During his tenure with the EPPD, Sgt. Geronsin has been a field training officer, member of the SWAT team and the Domestic Abuse Response Team, and a founding member of the Unmanned Aerial Systems (drone) team.

Sgt. Geronsin will start sergeant field training May 21.
