Today is National Crime and Intelligence Analyst Appreciation Day and the EPPD would like to celebrate our own analyst, Ryan Kapaun; our analyst intern, Julia Pipkin; and our volunteer analyst, Dave Hendricks.

Our analysts play an invaluable role in solving crimes both here in Eden Prairie and the greater Twin Cities metro area. They provide analytical support and organization to every division in the Police Department through creating link charts, spreadsheets, crime alerts, complex timelines and Powerpoint presentations that show connections between people and events. These products help officers and investigators predict, solve and prevent crimes. The analysts’ work also helps inform residents on how they can protect themselves against crime.
