At last night’s City Council meeting, the Eden Prairie Lions Club made a generous donation to the Eden Prairie Police and Fire Departments.

The Lions Club donated $6,000 to the Fire Department for specialized airway management equipment and just over $10,000 to the Police Department for equipment storage and technology solutions needed to set up a new UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) police vehicle.

This new vehicle will help the Police Department’s UAS team by making deployment quicker and more efficient in situations where search and rescue or suspect location is needed. The vehicle was already in the current replacement cycle, but the upgraded storage and electronics solutions can now be funded through this donation.
