In November 2023 Officer Tony Behl responded to a traffic crash involving a 15-year-old girl named Raegan.
She was unhurt but shaken up and Officer Behl comforted her during the aftermath. Raegan remembered Officer Behl’s kindness and invited him to attend her Holy Family High School’s hockey game last Saturday that was dedicated to honoring first responders.
At the game, Officer Behl was one of 24 first responders honored by individual players. Raegen had Officer Behl’s last name printed on the back of her jersey and in return Officer Behl gave her an EPPD patch and challenge coin.
As a former hockey player and current youth hockey coach, the recognition was particularly meaningful for Officer Behl.
Thank you Holy Family for recognizing the good work of one of our officers!
