With the impending retirement of our current 911 Emergency Communications Supervisor who has served the EPPD for the past 23 years, we have an opening in our Dispatch Center.
The 911 Emergency Communications Supervisor oversees all operations and supervision of the 12 staff related to the Communications Center, including but not limited to preparing work schedules and shifts, prioritizing and assigning duties, administering training programs and performing regular duties of Public Safety Telecommunicators. This position is also involved in short and long range planning of future communications equipment needs, as well as maintenance and upgrades of current communications equipment.
We’re looking for someone with at least five years of 911 Public Safety Telecommunicator experience who has excellent communication skills, the ability to motivate others and an aptitude for retaining and applying technical information, among other skills.
