Last night, the City of Eden Prairie held another successful Night to Unite with 163 neighborhoods hosting block parties.
As in past years, we asked residents to donate food to PROP (People Reaching Out to People) and we were not disappointed. Nearly 9,000 pounds of food — 8,962 pounds to be exact — were generously donated by the community. Well done and a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped to support this important community resource.
Again this year as part of our food drive, all parties that donated more than 200 pounds of food were entered in a drawing to win an ice cream social hosted by the Eden Prairie Police and Fire Departments. The winner of this year’s drawing is the Fairway Drive Neighborhood with almost 400 pounds of food.
Thank you to everyone who welcomed us to their neighborhood parties, offered us snacks and took a few minutes out of their evenings to chat with us. We value your support and look forward to next year’s Night to Unite!
