Today Chief Matt Sackett administered the oath of office to the department’s newest officer, Isaac Martig.

Officer Martig graduated from Chaska High School then attended Hennepin Technical College where he earned a Peace Officer and Public Safety associate’s degree. He has worked as a part-time community service officer for the EPPD since August 2023. Officer Martig joins 27 other current EPPD officers who also once served as Eden Prairie community service officers.

Officer Martig will spend the next 3-4 months in the department’s field training program before patrolling on his own.
