Today Chief Matt Sackett administered the oath of office to the department’s newest officer, Phil Morgan.

 Officer Morgan grew up in Eden Prairie and graduated from The Blake School. He attended DePaul University where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance, and Arizona State University where he earned a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance. Officer Morgan spent the past six years working for the Gilbert Police Department in Gilbert, Ariz. and was most recently assigned as a detective in their Violent Crimes Unit. 

Officer Morgan will spend the next 3-4 months in the department’s field training program before patrolling on his own.
