Sustainable Eden Prairie is an ongoing effort focusing on education and implementation of sustainable practices to protect the environment and natural resources our community enjoys.
Building upon the success of the 20-40-15 initiative, the City is leading by example and providing a foundation for residents and businesses to carry out sustainable practices in four areas — energy, landscape, waste and water.

Congratulations to Eden Prairie resident John L., the winner of our Renewable Energy Challenge drawing and the proud new owner of an e-Bike!
John 'took the challenge’ by subscribing to Renewable*Connect Flex® through Xcel Energy. By doing so, he made an important decision that will help to create a more sustainable future for us all.
Nearly 70 residents made commitments to renewable energy throughout the challenge. Thank you to everyone who participated!
