Residents Recognized for Service on City Commissions

Last week, the City thanked its board and commission members for their volunteer service at a special banquet, and recognized those who have completed their terms of service, including the 2023-2024 class of student commission members. Learn more and view a list of outgoing commission members.

Fit for Summer Member Appreciation

The Community Center's Fit for Summer member appreciation campaign starts Sunday, June 1. Members will enjoy special perks such as free guest passes and discounts through Aug. 31. Learn more at edenprairie.org/FitForSummer.

Fitness in the Parks

Fitness in the Parks begins Saturday, June 7 at Staring Lake Amphitheatre with an 8:30 a.m. session of POUND. Get outside and join people in the community for free yoga, Zumba, Pilates and more, all summer long. Full schedule is available at edenprairie.org/FitnessInTheParks.

Summer Entertainment Series Kicks Off June 8

The annual Minnesota Festival of Jazz on the Prairie event is Sunday, June 8 from noon to 7 p.m. at Staring Lake Park (14800 Pioneer Trail), kicking off the summer concert season with an afternoon of big-band jazz accompanied by the Eden Prairie Noon Rotary's Rib Fest fundraiser. Full performance lineup.

The following week KidStock performances begin at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 17 with Heart and Soul Drum Academy, and Starring at Staring concerts kick off at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 6 with Church of Cash. All summer concerts are performed on the Staring Lake Amphitheatre stage, and food and refreshments are available for purchase; bring a lawn chair or blanket. Stop the Trafficking 5K

Registration is open for the Stop the Trafficking 5K Walk/Run for Justice at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14 at Purgatory Creek Park. The virtual 5K event option is June 14–22. A team comprised of representatives from the Police Department, local churches, businesses and the City’s Human Rights and Diversity Commission are working together to plan this event in cooperation with local anti-trafficking organizations. Their common goal is to join together as a community, raise awareness and engage in the fight to stop the trafficking. Learn more and register at StopTheTraffickingRun.org/2025.

2024 Drinking Water Report

The City provides results of drinking water monitoring to advance consumer confidence and highlight the need to protect water resources. Drinking water monitoring from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2024, revealed Eden Prairie drinking water met or exceeded federal standards. A complete report is available at edenprairie.org/DrinkingWater.
