City Named Top Workplace for 12th Consecutive Year
For the 12th year in a row, the City of Eden Prairie has been recognized among "The Minnesota Star Tribune" Top Workplaces. The rankings are based on survey information collected by Energage, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention. The analysis, which measures engagement, organizational health and satisfaction, and compares those results with the best-performing and most progressive companies in the state, includes responses from more than 150,000 employees at Minnesota public, private and nonprofit organizations.
E-Bike Rules and Safety
Ride smart and safe by knowing Minnesota's e-Bike Laws. According to Minnesota State Law:
- e-Bike riders must be at least 15 years old
- e-Bikes are subject to the same traffic laws as regular bikes
- No license, registration or insurance is required
Riders are encouraged to wear a helmet, avoid using phones and headphones, and use safe speeds for surrounding traffic and pedestrians. Find more information about e-Bikes and bike safety at edenprairie.org/BikeSafety.
Party for Pride
The Community Center is hosting Party for Pride from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21 at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre. The event is a celebration in support of our LGBTQIA+ community. Everyone is invited to experience free fitness classes, activities, a puppy parade, giveaways, prize drawings, shopping, food trucks and a dance party. More details at edenprairie.org/PartyForPride.
Pioneer Trail Construction
Starting Monday, June 23, Hennepin County is resurfacing Pioneer Trail between Shetland Road and Braxton Drive. This work is expected to be completed by Friday, June 27. Crews are resurfacing one side of the road at a time with flaggers or a pilot car to direct traffic through the project area. Please be alert and allow for extra travel time. Dates are weather-dependent and subject to change.
Rotating Art Series
The City is looking for innovative artists to display existing work, create new work or propose a purposeful art happening for its Rotating Art Series. These installations, some of which are temporary, are intended to infuse art into the daily lives of residents and visitors in Eden Prairie, and to engage the community in discussions about the value of art in defining a sense of place. Learn more and apply by Friday, June 27 at edenprairie.org/RotatingPublicArt.

Organic Waste
About 25% of what we throw away is organic material such as food and food-soiled paper that could be put to better use as compost. Due to dwindling landfill space, waste haulers serving Eden Prairie are required by State statute to offer and charge for curbside organics recycling services to most households, regardless of participation. Request an organics recycling cart from your hauler to help reduce the amount of waste going to landfills and use the services you're paying for. Learn more at edenprairie.org/Organics.
