Final Weekend for Summer Musical

The final performances of the Eden Prairie Players production of "Brigadoon" are this weekend at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre. The shows are free, but donations are accepted. The remaining shows are scheduled at 7 p.m. June 27–29. If there is inclement weather on closing night, the performance will be moved indoors to Prairie Community Church at 9145 Eden Prairie Road. Any changes in performances are posted at edenprairie.org/Updates.

4th of July Hometown Celebration Events

Strike Up the Band: A Military Salute kicks off the celebration at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 2 at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre. This free concert features the Eden Prairie Community Band playing patriotic classics. Food and beverages available for purchase.

Sparklefest is a free kid-friendly event from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 3 at Round Lake Park. The event features self-directed activity stations throughout the park including a dance party, hands-on art stations, inflatables, lawn games and kids bingo. Several food trucks are lined up, and back by popular demand, the evening ends with a sensory-friendly drone show.

The Hometown Celebration is from 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 4 at Round Lake Park, and features several food trucks, live musical performances and fireworks.

Street Resurfacing Projects

Work has begun on mill and overlay and full-depth reclamation projects. Temporary "No Parking" signs are being placed as necessary and property owners adjacent to each project are notified before work begins. Find maps and project details at edenprairie.org/PavementManagement.

Starring at Staring Concerts Begin July 6

Enjoy live entertainment three evenings a week starting Sunday, July 6 through Friday, Aug. 22. Visit edenprairie.org/Calendar for performance information.

Swim Lesson Registration

Summer is in full swing, and another round of swim lessons are starting soon at the Community Center, with registration opening at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 2. Swimming lessons are designed for all ages and skill levels, are a great way to learn essential water safety skills. Visit edenprairie.org/Recreation then click 'Aquatics' to learn more and sign up.

Night to Unite Registration

This year's Eden Prairie Night to Unite celebration is Tuesday, Aug. 5. It's an opportunity to come together, meet your neighbors and grow the sense of community we have here in Eden Prairie. Register your neighborhood gathering at edenprairie.org/NightToUnite before July 28 if you would like a visit from the Eden Prairie Police or Fire Department.

Miller Park Pickleball Courts Open

While a few finishing touches are still underway, including landscaping and utility connections for court lighting, the community is welcome to enjoy this new amenity featuring dedicated areas for basketball, pickleball and tennis. Splash Pads

Splash Pads at Miller Park, Nesbitt Preserve Park and Round Lake Park are open through Labor Day. For hours are more information, visit edenprairie.org/SplashPads.

Sustainability Update

Solar panels recently installed on Fire Station #1 passed electric and building inspections, and will be fully operational and running when Xcel Energy completes a final examination and inspection.

The City's recent grant request to the State of Minnesota to install solar panels on the Eden Prairie Liquor building on Den Road has been fully approved, with the interconnection process underway and installation expected later this summer/early fall.

Usage for all City-owned electric vehicle charging stations has increased over the past year.
