City Council Town Hall Meetings

This week City Council members and department directors met with residents at the Flagstone and Prairie Bluffs retirement communities to hear feedback about City services in a town hall meeting setting. The City Council visits multiple residential communities throughout the year to meet residents and hear about their experiences living in Eden Prairie.

Eden Prairie Historical Society Update

The Eden Prairie Historical Society presented an update at the City Council workshop this week. Topics included the upcoming History Center and Museum expansion, the Dorenkemper House adaptive reuse project, and the strong partnership between the City and the Historical Society to care for Eden Prairie's historic properties and heritage sites. City Seeking Human Services Grant Applications

The City is accepting applications for 2026–2027 funding from local providers to help address human services needs identified within the community. Applications are due Monday, Sept. 15. Learn more and apply.

Pop-Up Splash Pad

Beat the summer heat at the City's latest Pop-Up Splash Pad event from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19 at Forest Hills Park (13708 Holly Road). Meet Eden Prairie police and firefighters, check out a book from the pop-up library, play lawn games, make craft projects and more.

Picnic on the Farm

Enjoy a summer picnic with live music on the historic Dorenkemper House lawn in Riley Lake Park at Picnic on the Farm. The event is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20 and features Eden Prairie Historical Society tours of the home — one of the last remaining log-built homes in the City — and includes free entertainment, food and beverages available for purchase, or bring your own picnic fare. Parking is available at nearby Riley Lake Park (9180 Riley Lake Road). Learn more about the Dorenkemper House and Eden Prairie's other historic properties at edenprairie.org/HeritageSites.

Final Starring at Staring Concerts

Join us next week for the final Starring at Staring performances of the summer. Sawyer's Dream takes the stage 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, followed by fABBAulous at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22. Event and artist details are available at edenprairie.org/Calendar.
