At approximately 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, Eden Prairie Police and Fire responded to a report of a hit-and-run involving pedestrians at the intersection of Mitchell Road and Chestnut Drive.

The preliminary investigation indicates an adult female was crossing Mitchell Road in the crosswalk with four young children, pulling a wagon with two of the children. A white sedan traveling north on Mitchell Road struck the woman and two children in the wagon and fled the scene.

The woman and one child sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while another child suffered critical injuries. All three were transported to Hennepin Healthcare.

The EPPD is asking anyone with information about the suspect vehicle to call 911.
