Temporary Staring Lake Sport Courts Closure
Beginning Monday, Sept. 1, the sport courts at Staring Lake Park are closing to be resurfaced. The project is designed to improve the playing surfaces and extend the life of the pickleball, tennis and basketball courts. While the Staring Lake Park courts are closed, residents are encouraged to visit other facilities throughout the City, including the newest courts at Miller Park. City Seeking Human Services Grant Applications
The City is accepting applications for 2026–2027 funding from local providers to help address human services needs identified within the community. Applications are due Monday, Sept. 15. Learn more and apply.
Sustainable Eden Prairie Award Nominations
The City is now accepting nominations for the annual Sustainable Eden Prairie Award, which recognizes significant and innovative investments that contribute to the overall vitality and sustainability of the community. Initiatives implemented by Eden Prairie residents, businesses or organizations that serve Eden Prairie are eligible. The nomination deadline is Friday, Sept. 26. Prairie Wine and Brewfest
The Eden Prairie Community Foundation is hosting the 11th annual Prairie Wine and Brewfest from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 at Purgatory Creek Park. The event features tastings from local and regional brewers, live music, door prizes and more. All ticket proceeds help the Foundation support neighbors in need. Learn more and purchase tickets.
Students on Commissions Orientation
This week our newly appointed student commission members attended orientation to learn more about the City and their roles as student commission members during the 2025-2026 school year. The City's Students on Commissions program gives Eden Prairie students the opportunity to contribute to their community in an official capacity, while gaining valuable insight about municipal government.
Holiday Hours
City Center is closed Monday, Sept. 1 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Holiday hours for other City facilities are available at edenprairie.org/Calendar.
