E-Bike Safety Update
The City Council heard an update on e-Bikes at this week's workshop meeting, including the City's public education safety campaign, proactive enforcement measures and peer-City statistics. As a reminder, Minnesota state law prohibits anyone under 15 years of age from operating e-Bikes. All riders must give an audible signal on approach before passing another bicycle or pedestrian, and pass with a safe distance. Riders must also use safe speeds and slow down when approaching intersections, curves and hills with limited visibility. Learn more at edenprairie.org/BikeSafety.
