Today is National Police Woman Day, a day that acknowledges and celebrates the contributions and achievements of women in law enforcement.

The EPPD’s first female officer was Joyce Conley (Holte) who was hired in 1974 as a community service officer and was promoted to officer in 1975. Joyce retired from the EPPD in 2004 as a corporal.

Today, the EPPD employs nine women officers, and we would love to have even more!
