Elections Reminder

While there are no elections taking place in Eden Prairie this year, many neighboring cities and jurisdictions do have both municipal and school board elections underway. Portions of Eden Prairie are within the Hopkins and Minnetonka school districts where school board elections are occurring. Early voting has begun in those communities, however, there is no voting or ballot drop-off available in Eden Prairie. Find your polling location at pollfinder.sos.mn.gov.

Updated New Residents Guide

The City's New Residents Guide is a comprehensive welcome booklet designed to help newcomers to Eden Prairie get acquainted with City services, utilities, local ordinances and community resources. It also highlights opportunities for recreation, sustainability and civic engagement to help residents feel connected and at home in their community. The guide was recently updated and distributed to multifamily housing property managers to help welcome their new tenants. Printed copies are available at City Center. The information from the guide, along with a link to a printable version, is available in an accessible format at edenprairie.org/NewResidents.

Spooky Skate

The Community Center's annual Spooky Skate event is Saturday, Oct. 25 from noon to 3:15 p.m. Kids ages 3–11 can hit the ice from noon to 1:15 p.m. and all ages are welcome starting at 1:15 p.m. Community Center members skate for free and non-member rates are available at edenprairie.org/IceSkating.

Citizens in Our Schools

Eden Prairie Schools is recruiting participants for its new Citizens in Our Schools program designed to provide an in-depth look at how the district operations. Learn more and apply by Monday, Oct. 20.

Upcoming City Meetings

• The Heritage Preservation Commission meets at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20 in the City Center Heritage Rooms
• The City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. for a workshop in the Heritage Rooms prior to its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21 in the Council Chambers
• The Monday, October 27 Planning Commission meeting is canceled
