Today Deputy Chief Chris Wood administered the oath of office to the department’s newest officer, Becca Redman.

Officer Redman graduated from Sibley East High School and continued her education at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice. She then attended Hennepin Technical College for a law enforcement certificate. Officer Redman has been a community service officer with the EPPD since June 2024. She joins 26 other current EPPD officers who also once served as Eden Prairie community service officers.

Officer Redman will spend the next 3-4 months in the department’s field training program before patrolling on her own.
