Community Center Fall Access Week and Fall Into Fitness Event

New and returning Community Center members can score special enrollment discounts when they join or renew their memberships throughout Fall Access Week, Nov. 16–22:

• $0 enrollment fee for new members
• $10 off enrollment fee for returning members

Fall Into Fitness Event

As part of Fall Access Week, the Community Center is hosting its annual Fall Into Fitness event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 22, where the community can participate in sampler classes, tour the facility, meet instructors and join or renew their memberships with the Fall Access Week enrollment discounts.

Happy Hour for Hunger

Join us from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 at Eden Prairie Liquor near Kowalski's Market for an event to help feed hungry families in our community while discovering new wines. Sample more than 50 wines, then purchase your favorites at exclusive discounted prices. Admission is a $10 donation per person benefiting PROP food shelf. Reserve tickets.

Planning Commission Public Hearings

There are two public hearings on the Monday, Nov. 17 Planning Commission meeting agenda for the following proposals:

Shoreline Ordinances Revision — City staff proposes updating City Code Section 11.50 to improve the alignment between the model shoreland ordinance (2022) of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Eden Prairie City Code.

Code Amendment-Administrative Site Plan Review — City staff is proposing an amendment to the Code’s Site Plan Review Process to allow more code-compliant improvements and alterations to be reviewed administratively and to require a higher degree of alteration before the project is reviewed by the City Council and Planning Commission, aligning Eden Prairie with practices in peer cities.

America Recycles Day

Saturday, Nov. 15 is America Recycles Day. Check out the City’s 2026 Recycling Guide for an overview of where to recycle everything from plastic cans to hazardous waste. Hennepin County offers free tools, including a handy organics recycling label to help you sort organics properly at home. Welcome, Ruby!

This week we introduced a new wildlife ambassador at the Eden Prairie Outdoor Center — Ruby the red-tailed hawk. Ruby can usually be seen living outside in a special enclosure, and our raptor staff requests the public to keep their pets leashed, voices low and fingers clear of her space when visiting.
