The EPPD is proud to announce that the department’s newest sergeant is Dan Chanski.

Sgt. Dan Chanski graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in criminal justice. He served six and a half years in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery Officer, deploying to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Sgt. Chanski began his policing career with the MSP Airport Police Department in 2018 and joined the Eden Prairie Police Department in 2021. While serving as a patrol officer for the EPPD, he also served in several secondary roles, including field training officer, SWAT negotiator, mobile field force member and recruiting team member.
