Snow Emergencies: What You Need to Know

The City informs residents of snow removal plans with Snow Emergency declarations in advance of winter weather. When 2 or more inches of snow are forecast, the City declares a Snow Emergency. Once accumulation reaches 2 inches, a Snow Emergency is in effect. During a Snow Emergency, do not park on City Streets until noon the next day so streets maintenance crews can work to maintain safe and passable roadways.

Snow Emergency declarations are posted at edenprairiemn.gov/News, on social media platforms and sent to email/text subscribers. Visit edenprairiemn.gov/Subscribe to sign up for City news email/text notifications. More information about snow removal in Eden Prairie is available at edenprairiemn.gov/Snow.
