Cold Weather Rule Offers Help with Heating Bills
To qualify for protection, customers must work with their utility providers to establish a reasonable payment plan.

Minnesota’s Cold Weather Rule protects residential utility customers from having electric or natural gas service shut off between Oct. 1 and April 30.
To qualify for protection, customers must work with their utility providers to establish reasonable payment plans for their households. Both homeowners and renters are eligible.
