Last week the Eden Prairie Crime Prevention Fund received a $500 donation from Suburban Chevrolet located in Eden Prairie.

The money will be used by the Crime Prevention Fund to sponsor outreach programs in the community.

The Crime Prevention Fund was started in 1977 and assists the Police Department in preventing crime and providing reward funds. The money raised by the Crime Prevention Fund helps provide financial assistance for Citizens Academy, Eden Prairie Night to Unite, the Chaplain Program, Senior Safety Workshops and the K-9 program, among others.
