Opportunities for Community Support
As many in the Eden Prairie community continue to experience challenges due to ongoing federal immigration operations in the area, the City is working with local partners to share information and coordinate opportunities for neighbors to support one another. Listed below are ways residents can help, along with resources available to those who may be in need.
Community Drop-Off Event
The City is accepting donations on behalf of PROP Food Shelf, The PROP Shop and Senior Community Services. Residents can drop off non-perishable food and other items during business hours at the City Center, Community Center and Senior Center through Friday, Feb. 6. View full list of most-needed items.

Skate and Donate
Tonight the City is hosting a special Skate and Donate event from 6 to 8 p.m. at Staring Lake Park. The family-friendly event brings the community together for an evening of skating and supporting those in need.
Immigration Resources
Residents can find additional information and support services at edenprairiemn.gov/ImmigrationResources. This page includes information on immigrant rights and responsibilities, and links to organizations helping with legal services, housing, food insecurity and other essential needs.
PROP Food Town Hall
PROP Food invites community members, partners and supporters to attend a Community Town Hall at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 at the City Center Heritage Rooms (8080 Mitchell Road). The event will be led by Executive Director Jenifer Loon and focus on emerging community needs, PROP’s current programs and how PROP is adapting services to ensure food and housing support remain uninterrupted. PROP is welcoming questions ahead of time and will be collecting donations for culturally meaningful meal kits. Learn more about the event.
Sauna at Staring
Experience a relaxing and rejuvenating sauna session in nature at Staring Lake Park. These community sessions invite you to slow down, unwind and share a moment of connection with both new and familiar faces. Learn more and schedule a session at edenprairiemn.gov/Sauna.
2025 Eden Prairie Fire Department Statistics
- Responded to 4,082 calls for service in 2025, compared to 3,337 in 2024
- 71% of calls for service were medical events, 18% for fire events and 11% for special category calls
- Inspected 6,680 new, existing and rental occupancies
- Hired 9 duty crew firefighters
- Completed 21,328 training hours
City Recognized for Exceptional Financial Reporting
The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has recognized the City of Eden Prairie with the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting for its annual financial report for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2024. Eden Prairie received the award for its efforts to present financial information that is readily accessible and easily understandable to the general public. The City has received this award annually for 35 years. Eden Prairie is extremely fortunate for its knowledgeable and dedicated Finance and Communications teams.
