School Resource Officer Appreciation Day is coming up this Sunday, Feb. 15!

Here at the EPPD we would like to express our deep appreciation for our five amazing School Resource Officers: Ryan Kuffel (Cedar Ridge, Eden Lake, Prairie View, Forest Hills); Kenny Stromgren (CMS, Oak Point, Eagle Heights); Emma Wax (CMS, Area Learning Center, EP Online); TJ Henderson (EPHS, PiM Arts High School, TASSEL); and Tony Behl (EPHS, PiM Arts High School, TASSEL).

School Resource Officers provide a vital link between the police department and schools. Their duties include developing and presenting prevention and safety programs for youth, working closely with school staff, providing high visibility police presence at the schools, evaluating school crisis plans and investigating crimes involving juveniles.

We are fortunate to have five professional, dedicated officers working with students, teachers and administrators. Happy School Resource Officer Appreciation Day to Officers Kuffel, Stromgren, Wax, Henderson and Behl!
