Property Valuation Notices
In March, property owners receive a Hennepin County 2026 Property Tax Statement based on the 2025 assessment indicating taxes due this year, and 2026 Notice of Valuation and Classification indicating property values used as a basis for taxes due in 2027. The City's Assessing Division maintains Eden Prairie property records and adjusts the market values based on actual real estate sales on comparable properties from the past year. Some information regarding valuation notices:
- In the 2026 assessment cycle, the City's total Estimated Market Value is $14.995-billion (an increase of 1.9%)
- 21,575 valuation notices will soon arrive in mailboxes
- The median single family detached home was valued at $587,300 (an increase of 5.1%)
- Property owners who wish to appeal their valuations must contact the City Assessor’s office at 952-949-8511 by March 26
Richard T. Anderson Conservation Area Temporary Closure
Beginning in March, a trail improvement project at the Richard T. Anderson Conservation Area is scheduled through May 2026. The park is closed to the public during this project. More information is available at edenprairiemn.gov/ParkProjects.
Kitchen Gadget Swap
Hennepin County is hosting a kitchen gadget swap from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28 at the Ridgedale Library (12601 Ridgedale Drive, Minnetonka). Bring gently used kitchen items you no longer need and take home gadgets you can use. You don’t have to bring anything to take something home and everyone is welcome to participate. Book Swap
Student members of the City's Sustainability Commission are hosting a Children and Young Adult Book Swap from 1 to 3 p.m Saturday, March 7 at the Community Center. Bring gently used children’s and young adult books to swap and discover new favorites to take home.
Let's Go Fishing Fish Fry
The Eden Prairie chapter of Let's Go Fishing, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of community members through fishing and boating, is hosting a fish fry fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 7 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church (13600 Technology Drive).
