Last Thursday EPPD Officer Chad Streiff received three awards from MADD Minnesota: the Gold Pin, MADD Hero and Outstanding First Responder.
The Gold Pin is given to officers in Minnesota who made more than 100 DWI arrests the previous year. Officer Streiff made 142 DWI arrests in 2025. Only five officers in Minnesota made more DWI arrests in 2025 than Officer Streiff.
Officer Streiff also received a MADD Hero award which is given to law enforcement officers who lead by example and demonstrate a strong commitment to saving lives. And finally, Officer Streiff was named MADD’s Outstanding First Responder which is awarded to a first responder who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism and service while responding to critical incidents and emergencies within their communities.
Officer Streiff serves as a full-time DWI officer thanks to a grant from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. He and officers across Minnesota will be out this holiday weekend looking for drunk drivers and distracted drivers. Please do your part to keep the roads safe this Memorial Day weekend: wear your seatbelt, put away your phone and don’t drink and drive!
Congratulations Officer Streiff!
