Valley View Road Weekend Closure

The Eden Prairie Lions Club Schooner Days event is this weekend at Round Lake Park. To provide safe pedestrian access, Valley View Road will be closed between Eden Prairie Road (County Road 4) and Hames Way at the following times:

Friday, May 29: 4:30–11 p.m.
Saturday, May 30: 10:30 a.m.–11 p.m.
Sunday, May 31: 10:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

Event parking is available at the Community Center and surrounding areas via Eagle Way and Eden Prairie Road. Learn more about the event at EPSchoonerDays.com.

Summer Entertainment Series Kicks Off June 7

The annual Minnesota Festival of Jazz on the Prairie event is Sunday, June 7 from noon to 7 p.m. at Staring Lake Park (14800 Pioneer Trail), kicking off the free summer concert season with an afternoon of big-band jazz accompanied by the Eden Prairie Noon Rotary's Rib Fest fundraiser. The following week KidStock performances begin at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 16 with In The Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, and the Eden Prairie Players summer musical performances of "Legally Blonde" begin Saturday, June 20. SouthWest Transit Community Design Contest

SouthWest Transit's Community Design Contest gives students ages 11 to 18 who live or attend school in Eden Prairie the chance to have their artwork featured on bus wraps. Designs should creatively celebrate both the Minnesota State Fair and Renaissance Festival. Submissions are accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, June 12. Braver Angels Event

Braver Angels is a volunteer-led movement to bridge the partisan divide. The organization is presenting an interactive Skills for Disagreeing Better session from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church (13600 Technology Drive). This session offers participants ways to deepen their understanding of the values and concerns of people who differ from each other politically, and accurately seeing where they differ and where they share common ground. 2025 Drinking Water Report

The City provides results of drinking water monitoring to advance consumer confidence and highlight the need to protect water resources. Drinking water monitoring from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2025, revealed Eden Prairie drinking water met or exceeded federal standards. Parks and Recreation Updates

  • The Cedar Hills Mountain Bike Park contract has been awarded and construction is scheduled to begin in July. Learn more about this and other summer projects at edenprairiemn.gov/ParkProjects.
  • Lake Riley will be monitored weekly throughout the summer for blue-green algae in partnership with the MN Department of Health, allowing staff to learn more about water ecology specific to the lake and monitor for hazardous blue-green algae levels.
