State Primary Election

The State Primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 11. Extended in-person early voting hours are available at City Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8. Early voting on Monday, Aug. 10 is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Election Day, Eden Prairie's polling precincts are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Learn more at edenprairiemn.gov/Elections.

Pop-Up Splash Pad

Beat the summer heat at the City's latest Pop-Up Splash Pad event from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12 at Nesbitt Preserve Park (8641 Center Way). Meet Eden Prairie police and firefighters, check out a book from the pop-up library, play lawn games, make craft projects and more.

Fall Parks and Recreation Program Registration Opens Aug. 12

Registration for fall Parks and Recreation programs opens at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12. Visit edenprairie.org/Register now to explore everything the City has to offer, then log into or create your account, and start a wish list for when registration opens.

Arts in the Park

Eden Prairie's annual Arts in the Park event is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 at Purgatory Creek Park. More than 100 artists and vendors will be selling items such as artwork, homemade beauty products, artisan foods, unique clothing and more. Event details available at edenprairiemn.gov/ArtsInThePark.

The City is seeking volunteers to watch booths when artists need a quick break, help families at the art project area and support load-out and take-down at the end of the day. Sign up to volunteer on your own, or get a group of friends, family or coworkers together as a team.

2026 Night to Unite Results

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, 153 neighborhoods across Eden Prairie hosted Night to Unite parties dedicated to celebrating and strengthening a shared commitment to a safe community. Many of those parties participated in a food drive for Eden Prairie PROP, resulting in 9,104 pounds of food and $160 in cash being donated. Congratulations to the Fairway Drive neighborhood, who donated 282 pounds of food and won an ice cream social hosted by the Eden Prairie Police and Fire Departments.

Police Department Updates

• The EPPD's move into its new facility on the west side of City Center is complete and the lobby is now open to the public. The new facility provides expanded office and training space, enhanced detention and evidence processing areas, indoor vehicle storage and updated technology to support the department's current and future public safety needs.
• The EPPD introduced a new look for squad cars with graphics featuring high-contrast reflective graphics for increased visibility. The new squad car design will be introduced through the City’s normal vehicle replacement schedule, resulting in no additional cost.
• A new social worker, Jacques Duce, started in mid-July. Jacques joins the EPPD's existing social worker, Molly Mitley. They are jointly funded by the City and Hennepin County and work together to connect residents with the support services they need.

Staff News

Riley Onofrio joined the City this week as the Fire Department’s newest assistant chief. Riley brings extensive fire service experience, most recently with the Saint Paul Fire Department.
