The EPPD is proud to announce that the department’s newest sergeant is Tino Starke.

Sgt. Starke started working as an officer for Eden Prairie on Aug. 6, 2017. He was born and raised in Germany and spent seven and a half years working for the Polizeiinspektion Ansbach Police Department. He then moved to the United States and received an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Mid-State Tech College in Wisconsin and served as a police officer for five years in Stevens Point, Wis. 

During his tenure at Eden Prairie, he has worked as a UAS (drone) pilot, Retail Crime Unit officer, crime scene technician, field training officer, training instructor, wellness officer and Minnesota Special Olympics liaison.
