The City of Eden Prairie has been awarded Hennepin County’s 2017 Wellness by Design Platinum +Green designation for excellence in worksite wellness. Platinum +Green is the award’s highest distinction and this is the fifth Wellness by Design award the City has earned.

The awards are presented to Hennepin County employers that demonstrate accomplishments in management support, wellness infrastructure, communication and programming directed at improving employee health. A “+Green” designation, which is awarded to companies that also minimize their impact on the environment, was earned by 30 of the 73 Wellness by Design recipients.

The City of Eden Prairie offers employees a wide variety of wellness-related activities for physical, financial, nutritional and emotional well-being. The programming is ever-evolving to meet the needs of a diverse employee population and further enhance the workplace culture.

“There’s a connection between employee health and an organization’s success,” said Human Resources Manager Alecia Rose. “For the City of Eden Prairie, the evidence is clear based on our biennial employee engagement survey results and consistent Top Workplace rankings.”
