Sustainable Eden Prairie is an ongoing effort focusing on education and implementation of sustainable practices to protect the environment and natural resources our community enjoys.
Building upon the success of the 20-40-15 initiative, the City is leading by example and providing a foundation for residents and businesses to carry out sustainable practices in four areas — energy, landscape, waste and water.

Help Manage EAB
Discounted emerald ash borer (EAB) treatment rates are available to residents through 2023.

As part of its multiyear emerald ash borer (EAB) management plan, the City is treating or removing ash trees on public property.
Removed trees are being replaced with a variety of tree species.
The City’s plan also includes promoting proper management of ash trees on private property, which includes treating trees at least 10 inches in diameter and in good physical condition.
