Lt. Jess Irmiter has been with the Eden Prairie Police Department since 2001.

During his tenure he has served as a patrol officer, K-9 handler, Use of Force Instructor, SWAT team member, investigator, Reserve Unit supervisor, patrol sergeant, training sergeant and SWAT Negotiations Team co-leader. Lt. Irmiter also served as an Eden Prairie firefighter for 10 years.

Lt. Irmiter attended the University of Minnesota where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal sociology and deviance.
