The City is now accepting applications for the Students on Commissions program for the 2026-2027 school year.

High school juniors and seniors who live in Eden Prairie are invited to apply for the Students on Commissions program — a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community while gaining firsthand experience in local government.

Student representatives serve on City commissions from September through May, attending one evening meeting per month. It’s an effective way to build leadership skills, engage with civic leaders and gain insight into City operations.

Students can apply to serve on one of the following commissions:

• Flying Cloud Airport
• Heritage Preservation
• Human Rights and Diversity
• Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources
• Sustainability
