During full-depth reclamation, the asphalt layers and underlying base materials of the existing roadway are pulverized and blended.

The mixture is then graded and compacted, creating a new base for the road. Depending on weather, the road is paved typically within a week after reclamation.

The first step of the mill and overlay project includes milling off the top layer of the existing bituminous pavement to remove surface defects.

The new bituminous overlay is placed within five working days after the milling and repair work has been completed, depending on weather.

• “No Parking” signs will be placed along the street in advance of construction. Vehicles remaining on the street may be towed at the owner’s expense.
  
  

• Access to homes will be maintained throughout construction, however short-term delays (15-20 minutes) should be anticipated.

• Work may require short-term closures of the roadways. Before any road closures, appropriate traffic control and detours will be provided if necessary.

• During construction, please place trash/recycling receptacles on your driveway or yard — and off the street. 

• Irrigation systems should not be operated if overspray falls within the street during the project.
