Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Words in Action Contest Winners

This marks the second year for the contest which celebrates the powerful speeches Dr. King delivered and the compelling letters and essays he wrote. Youth ages 18 and younger who live or go to school in Eden Prairie were asked to select quotes from Dr. King and express what they mean personally and what actions they or the community as a whole can take to carry forward his legacy through writing, art or audio/video.

From 35 submissions the contest committee selected two honorable mentions and two winning entries in each age category. Congratulations to the honorable mentions and winners who will receive cash prizes made possible through the generous support of the Eden Prairie Community Foundation. A full list of current and past winners, honorable mentions and winning entries is available at edenprairie.org/MLKContestWinners
