Citywide Open House
Get an up-close and personal look at what it takes to operate a city of nearly 65,000 residents and 3,000 business. Come to the City Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 to explore public safety and maintenance equipment, watch demonstrations and enjoy refreshments.
Harvest to Halloween at the Barn
There's fun for the entire family at this free event from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at Riley Lake Park. Pumpkin decorating, treat stations, inflatables and historic home tours are just some of the activities offered. Food and beverages available for purchase from a variety of food trucks as well as beer and root beer from the Eden Prairie Lions Club. Yard Waste Disposal
Bring your leaves and other yard waste to Eden Prairie's Yard Waste Site located at 9811 Flying Cloud Drive through Sunday, Nov. 19. Visit edenprairie.org/YardWaste for more information.

I-494 Construction Open House
The I-494 Corridor Commission Commuter Services is hosting an I-494 Construction Open House from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 at the Commuter Services office, 7101 York Ave S. in Edina. MnDOT officials will share information on the I-494 construction project, and free transit passes, bike maps and food truck provisions will be available while supplies last.
Wings of the North "Sound Barrier Broken" Party
The Wings of the North Museum is hosting a Sound Barrier Broken party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. This day marks the 76th anniversary of pilot Chuck Yeager becoming the first human being to travel faster than the speed of sound. The museum will be free to the public for this event and is located at 14857 Pioneer Trail, inside Gate H on the northwest corner of Flying Cloud Airport.
EP Players Costume Sale
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, find the perfect Halloween costume by browsing hundreds of costume pieces from the Eden Prairie Players stock at the Riley-Jacques Barn, 9096 Riley Lake Road. Vintage dresses, suits, shoes and masks from nearly every decade and size will be available for sale, cash and checks accepted.
