State Primary Election

The State Primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 13. Absentee/early voting is available Monday through Friday at City Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Monday, Aug. 12. Voting is also available at City Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. Learn more at edenprairie.org/Elections.

Staring at Starring Next Week

Join us next week for the final Starring at Staring performances of the summer. Jaedyn James takes the stage at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, followed by Mississippi Hot Club at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15. Event details are available at edenprairie.org/Calendar.

Pop-up Splash Pad

Beat the summer heat next Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Forest Hills Park Pop-up Splash Pad (13708 Holly Road). Meet Eden Prairie police and firefighters, check out a book from the pop-up library, play lawn games, make craft projects and more.

Picnic on the Farm

Enjoy a summer picnic with live music on the historic Dorenkemper House lawn in Riley Lake Park at Picnic on the Farm. The event is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 and features Eden Prairie Historical Society tours of the home — one of the last remaining log-built homes in the City — and includes free entertainment, food and beverages available for purchase, or bring your own picnic fare. Parking is available at nearby Riley Lake Park (9180 Riley Lake Road). Learn more about the Dorenkemper House and Eden Prairie's other historic properties at edenprairie.org/HeritageSites.

Arts in the Park

Be sure to attend Eden Prairie's largest Arts in the Park event to date from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at Purgatory Creek Park. More than 90 artists and vendors will be selling items such as artwork, homemade beauty products, artisan foods, unique clothing and more. Event details available at edenprairie.org/ArtsInThePark.

Local Businesses Open During Construction

The City is making improvements to Prairie Center Drive from Highway 212 to Flying Cloud Drive and is also installing a new traffic signal at Prairie Center Drive and Franlo Road. As construction along Prairie Center Drive continues this summer, residents are encouraged to use detours to navigate to local businesses in the area.

2024 Night to Unite Results

On Tuesday, Aug. 6, Eden Prairie neighborhoods hosted Night to Unite parties dedicated to celebrating and strengthening the commitment to a safe community. Over 140 neighborhood parties participated in a food drive for Eden Prairie PROP, donating 8,962 pounds of food for those in our community experiencing food insecurity.
