Prairie Pour Wine and Beer Sampler
Join friends and neighbors from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 27 in the Garden Room (8080 Mitchell Road) for an evening of wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres hosted by Eden Prairie Liquor. Sample more than 60 wines and 30 beers, then purchase your favorites at discount prices offered only at this event. Human Rights Award Nominations
The City is accepting nominations for the annual Human Rights Award, which recognizes inspiring efforts that work to promote human rights and diversity, and to create an inclusive community spirit. Awards are given to an outstanding individual, non-profit organization, youth and business. The deadline for nominations is 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 7. Tree Sale
The City is once again partnering with Tree Trust to bring Eden Prairie residents a special deal on a limited number of trees for purchase. The trees range in size from 4- to 8-feet tall, depending on species, and must be planted on private property. Orders will be available for pickup from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at the Flying Cloud Fields (15219 Pioneer Trail) parking lot. Shop for trees and learn more at ep-tree-sale.myshopify.com.
Hiring Police Officers

SouthWest Transit Launching New MSP Route
Starting March 31, SouthWest Transit is launching route 686, a convenient bus service connecting SouthWest Station in Eden Prairie to MSP Airport Terminals 1 and 2. With expanded overnight parking available for $5/night, route 686 is a new inexpensive option for traveling to the airport. Learn more at swtransit.org/686.

- Tyler Menden recently joined the City as parks construction supervisor, and previously worked for the City of Shakopee.
- Jon Gruender recently joined the City as a building inspector I, and was previously a commercial construction superintendent at G.M. Northrup Corporation.
- Eden Prairie Fire Department lieutenant Dan Feine was promoted to captain.
- Molly Swanson rejoined the City as senior engineering technician after a couple years working for the cities of Thousand Oaks and Oxnard in California.
