METRO Green Line Extension System Testing
Earlier this summer, the METRO Green Line Extension project began the first of three phases of system integration testing to ensure it is safe, reliable, efficient and ready for riders in 2027. Testing this fall will include activating warning systems at the 15 LRT grade crossings between Eden Prairie and Minneapolis. Warning lights will flash, bells will ring and gate arms will come down as trains cross road and trail intersections along the line. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to stay alert and begin observing these traffic warning systems. View this METRO Green Line Extension video to learn more.
