Day camp counselor, 02/13/2025
I've been working for the Eden Prairie Community Center for about a year and a half now and I couldn't have found a better place to work. As a student, managing time is not always easy; however, scheduling is based specifically off of your schedule and is very flexible. Also staff members generally care about each other and work together as a team. I always feel supported and I get to work with people who are responsible and fun. I enjoy coming to work knowing I have friends working with me.

I have been working for the City of Eden Prairie as a camp counselor, inclusion counselor, and lead counselor for the past three summers. This job has allowed me to learn more about working with kids with disabilities and helped me decide to go into special education in the future. The people that work here are more than just your coworkers, they become your family. If you’re considering working for camps, do it! It’s truly a once in a lifetime experience.
Lead day camp counselor, 02/13/2025
I worked for Eden Prairie Parks and Rec as a camp counselor during high school and college, and I truly believe that camp set me up for success... I learned how to work with and lead a diverse group of people and how to be creative and flexible in sometimes challenging circumstances. I also learned what it means to show up with your A-game day after day. Working at camp was immensely rewarding and prepared me to excel in the working world.
