Your credit card and banking information is private data and will be provided only to you and those people who need to know it for processing your payment. This may include City employees, employees of applicable financial institutions and other third-party service providers.
Data Privacy
Under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, your name, address, telephone number and other identifying information submitted through the registration process are private data. Private data is available to you, but not to the public. The City needs this information for the enrollment of a participant in a recreational program and to be able to contact you, if necessary. If you do not provide the information, we may not be able to complete your registration and/or you may not receive updated program information. The information you provide may be released to persons authorized to have access to the information under state or federal law; persons authorized by court order to have access to the information; persons to whom you have given written consent to have access to the information; and all individuals employed by or entities under contract with the City who have a need and a right to know the information in order to administer the program.
Photos
Photographs and video are periodically taken of participants which may be published online or in print.
Allergies
Please email Parks@edenprairie.org to request an allergy action plan form and return it to your child’s program staff.
Behavior Guidelines
When a participant demonstrates consistent inappropriate behavior or has needs that transcend program expectations, staff identify the areas of concern or need and make an action plan to promote successful participation.
Cancellations
Eden Prairie Parks and Recreation reserves the right to cancel, postpone or combine programs, and change instructors. When classes with insufficient enrollment are canceled, payment is fully refunded or credited to your account. Participants are notified of program cancellations prior to the start of the program.
Illness
If your child is sick, please do not send them to the program and notify staff that they are not attending. If your child becomes ill during camp, they are isolated from the group until a caretaker is able to pick them up. If the child has symptoms of COVID-19, testing and quarantine follows, and a negative test or alternative diagnosis is needed to return to the program.
Late Pickup
Participants are required to be picked up at the ending time. A $1-per-minute fee is assessed to late pickups (after a 10-minute grace period).
Medication
Per the City's policy, if your child will be taking any medication when they are participating in our programs, we ask that you request a medication permission form by emailing Nicole Weedman or calling 952-949-8456.
Refunds
Cancellations can be made up to 7 days before the start of the program, unless otherwise specified in the program description. A 10% cancellation fee is deducted from your refund. Participants who wish to receive a refund to the credit card used to make the purchase can contact Parks and Recreation at 952-949-8470 or Parks@edenprairie.org.
No refunds are issued for cancellations within 7 days of the program start date.
Registration Deadline
Registration deadlines are established for each program to help provide a positive experience for program participants by ensuring appropriate staffing, supplies and facilities to meet the registration needs. Please refer to program descriptions for each program’s registration deadline. If no registration deadline is listed, the deadline is seven days before the program begins.
Transfers
Transfers from one program to another are made on a space-available basis. A transfer before the registration deadline can be completed by calling 952-949-8470 or emailing Parks@edenprairie.org. A transfer after the registration deadline is made at the discretion of the recreation supervisor. Transfers are not accepted within 24 hours of the start of a program.
Wait Lists
At your request, your name can be placed on a wait list if a program is full. We call you if/when an opening occurs. You have 24 hours from the time the message was left to return our call and pay for the program in person. Otherwise, the next person on the wait list is contacted.
