Today Chief Matt Sackett administered the oath of office to the department’s newest officer, Bailey Reichert.

Officer Reichert grew up in Faribault, Minn. and attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. There he received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and minors in psychology and political science. For the past three years he has worked for the Rice County Sheriff’s Office as a Water Patrol/Transport Deputy.

Officer Reichert will spend the next three to four months in the department’s field training program before patrolling on his own.
