Youth Citizens Academy is an opportunity for high school students ages 14–19 to get a behind-the-scenes look at the EPPD and learn more about what officers do.

The three-day course meets from 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m., July 15–17, and covers the following topics:

• Communications and 911
• Crime Scene Processing
• DWI/Mock Traffic Stops
• Investigations
• K-9 Unit
• Patrol Operations
• SWAT and Negotiations
• Unmanned Aircraft Systems
• Use of Force
• And more!
