Would you or someone you know like to work as a Police Officer or part-time Community Service Officer (CSO) for the Eden Prairie Police Department? Well, now’s your chance! The EPPD is in the process of recruiting for both positions.

Police officer applications are due at noon on Monday, April 29. Lateral candidates are encouraged to apply and are eligible for additional pay incentives based on experience. In addition, police officer candidates hired during this recruitment process who successfully complete their Field Training Programs and one year of employment with the City will receive a hiring bonus of $3,500.

Part-time CSO applications are due by 8 a.m. on Monday, April 15. CSOs support the Police Department by responding to a variety of community needs including animal control, enforcement of parking violations and other ordinances, providing traffic direction and assisting officers with other service-related duties.

We’re looking for CSO candidates who are actively pursuing and currently enrolled in accredited law enforcement programs — 35% of current Eden Prairie officers first worked as CSOs in our department.
