On Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, a family in our community became victims of a home invasion and robbery, during which one of the victims suffered a medical emergency and died.

Yesterday, Eden Prairie Police assisted the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) with the arrest of three individuals suspected to be involved in this crime.

Eden Prairie Police detectives spent countless hours working on this investigation over the past two months – in partnership with numerous law enforcement agencies across the state – to support the excellent handling of this case by the ATF.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the victims, their family, friends and neighbors. My hope is that the arrest of these suspects will bring justice to those responsible for the crimes committed in this case, and ultimately bring closure to all of those in our community affected by it.
