Adaptive lessons are for persons with disabilities who require a setting outside the regular swim program offerings.

Private 30-minute swimming lessons offer a safe 1:1 approach to strengthen and learn basic water safety, life-saving techniques and so much more.

All children learn the basics of water safety and how to swim if they are able.

Experienced swimming instructors teach children with a variety of unique needs, including:

• Autism, and other related developmental syndromes
• Cerebral palsy
• Down syndrome
• Sensory processing disorder and other sensory challenges
• Physical difficulties and disabilities

Prior to your child’s first adaptive swimming lesson, please follow the steps below to ensure your family and child are set up for a successful program.

• Complete the Adaptive Private Swimming Lessons Request Form [PDF], including the number of lessons you are requesting.
• Complete the Inclusion Questionnaire Form [PDF] which helps us to get to know your child better and support them at the highest level while participating in programs.

Once received, a member of our team will reach out to you to confirm the date and time of your first lesson, and review the Inclusion Questionnaire details to work on setting goals for the swimming lessons.
