City of Eden Prairie
Home MenuLake Management
Eden Prairie is home to 15 lakes which provide residents with multiple recreational opportunities.
Round, Riley and Bryant Lakes have swimming beaches. Boat ramps are located at Mitchell, Riley, Round, Staring, Red Rock and Smetana Lakes.
The City works to maintain or improve the condition of Eden Prairie lakes, provides opportunities for recreation and wildlife habitat preservation, and protects property values associated with these resources.
The Local Water Management Plan includes a plan to evaluate, manage and maintain Eden Prairie lakes. Three watershed districts are located within the City that are also actively engaged in monitoring and improving water quality, including the Nine Mile Creek, Riley-Purgatory-Bluff Creek and Lower Minnesota River watershed districts.
Contact the City's water resources coordinator with any questions related to the City's lake management efforts.
